O jornal britânico "The Telegraph" publicou uma pesquisa efectuada pela LOVEFiLM,onde mostrou quais as melhores 10 adaptações cinematográficas de livros infantis.A saga Harry Potter conseguiu o prestigiado 1º lugar, obtendo 25% dos votos.

1. Harry Potter series (2001-present) - 25 per cent
2. The Wizard of Oz (1939) - 18 per cent
3. Watership Down (1978) - 15 per cent
4. The Railway Children (1970) - 11 per cent
5. Mary Poppins (1964) - 10 per cent
6. Shrek (2001) - 7 per cent
7. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005-present) - 5 per cent
8. Matilda (1996) - 4 per cent
9. The Witches (1990) - 2 per cent
10. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) - 1 per cent
